I love photography. Back in school, Andre and I founded the Photography Club, and I've been passionate about capturing moments ever since. Whether itโs happy snaps or professional photoshoots, I enjoy the process of taking pictures. Still life is particularly enjoyable because the subject doesnโt move, allowing for meticulous composition.
Nowadays, my focus has shifted towards more casual photography, capturing travel and more spontaneous snaps and sometimes more technical photos for work. Regardless of the subject, composition, lighting, and colour remain important ingredients to creating visually appealing photos.
As an extension of my love for photography, I also make videos for fun. The advent of digital cameras in the 2000s opened up new possibilities, and I've punched out a few short films whenever the opportunity arises. For example, I won the in-house competition for videography back in school. Today, social media has transformed video formats, and I've been exploring these newer, shorter and vertical formats too.
I mainly work with my phone camera now, which I find more or less sufficient for 90% of photography. For indoor and outdoor photoshoots, I use my Sony ZV-E10 mirrorless camera and a heap of wired and wireless studio lights, light boxes and wireless triggers. Furthermore, I have obtained A1/A3 Eurocontrol drone operator's licence to capture stunning outdoor scenery.ย
Here are some photos I've taken while travelling, mostly landscape and cityscape shots of the beautiful places my bike takes me. I also enjoy capturing other subjects, which you can see on the Other Interests page. Expand the panoramas for more.

Here are some examples where I produced a series of open-source images for Wikipedia. I love to tweak the camera and set it up for the shoot, meticulously adjusting the focal length, exposure, composition, and lighting. After capturing the images, I refine the RAW files in Adobe Lightroom to enhance their quality and visual appeal.
Sometimes, speed is key, and it depends on how much tweaking you want to put in. Whether it's a quick setup and shoot due to time or budget constraints, or a more elaborate session, I always try to balance speed, quality and budget.
